The Impact of Your Contribution
FREE MEMBERSHIPS
Students who benefit from our free virtual studio who are also local to us have expressed a strong desire to practice in-person, but were not able to pay a membership fee. In late 2022, we decided to offer an in-person free membership option for those demonstrating financial need to have access to hands-on adjustments and in-person community!
In 2023 we awarded over $144K to 59 students!
FREE CLASSES
We offer totally free and accessible virtual classes in our online virtual studio. Each day we offer 4-5 free meditation and yoga classes, and annually we offer 3-4 free courses in Buddhist philosophy that are offered hybrid. This is an essential aspect of reaching a diverse audience (not everyone can leave home, and not everyone lives in NYC). Three Jewels reaches 6 our of 7 continents with our virtual studio!
In 2023, we offered more than 30,000 free visits, and 51% of our total visits for the year were free or by donation.
TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP
Full and partial scholarships ensure that anyone can have access to authentic and rigorous teacher training. Our scholarship program ensures that a diverse group of teachers are well-trained and then return to their communities, or travel the world sharing these tools for wellness and happiness in different languages, styles and in different communities that we would otherwise be unable to access.
We awarded over a quarter million dollars in scholarships in 2023. That’s a 111% increase from last year.
RETREAT SCHOLARSHIP
Retreat is the main opportunity for meditators to advance their practice in a significant way. This includes silence, sometimes completely solitary retreat, and at least 4-6 hours a day of diligent practice. Retreat assists practitioners by allowing them to progress quickly. The retreat scholarship program ensures that practitioners who have the desire to advance and serve the world have the opportunity to take deep retreat.
Each scholarship is about $3,000, and in 2023 we invested over $22k in retreat scholarships.
EVERYTHING ELSE
It takes more than scholarships and classes to keep a community of 59,000 total visits in 2023 thriving! That’s a 33% increase from last year.
Other ways your donation contributes to the community thriving is teacher pay, memberships, studio repairs, rent, administrative costs, and more!
Proceeds support Three Jewels Outreach Center, a 501c3 non-profit with a 26 year legacy dedicated to providing access to meditation tools, training and community support in using the mind to heal the mind.
